Privacy Policy — CatchLink

CatchLink is built on a simple principle: your data is yours, and it stays with you. This page explains what information the app handles — and what it doesn't do with it.
In short
- No account required.
- No collection of personal data by SourceFactory.
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics.
- Your links stay on your device and, if you enable it, in your private iCloud.
- We have no access to your data.
Data you create in the app
The links you save — their titles, images, summaries, tags, notes, and read status — are stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, they are also kept in your private iCloud database, managed by Apple. SourceFactory has no access to it and never receives it.
You can export your links (as an HTML file) or delete them from within the app at any time.
Network access
When you save a link, CatchLink fetches the corresponding page directly from the website in question to extract its title, image, and description, and to archive the content for offline reading. These requests go to the sites you save — never to a SourceFactory server (we don't operate any). As with any browsing, the visited site may see a request coming from your device.
Artificial intelligence
When your device supports it (Apple Intelligence), summaries and tag suggestions are generated entirely on-device. No content is sent to an external service. If the feature isn't available, the app works normally without it.
Processors
The only third party involved is Apple, and only if you use iCloud sync, within your iCloud account and Apple's privacy policy. SourceFactory uses no other provider.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, or delete. You stay in full control: your data lives on your device and in your iCloud, and is gone when you delete the app and its data. For any question about your rights, contact us.
Children
CatchLink is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data about them.
Changes
This policy may evolve alongside the app. Any update will be posted on this page with a new date.
